FOOTBALL IS BACK!!
If you can’t tell, I am excited that football season has returned. While I enjoy all the fall sports, I really like football. Friday nights on the sidelines is hard to beat. Tonight was only a scrimmage, but the pads were on and the uniforms were different so it counts as a game in my book.
North Montgomery faced a new scrimmage opponent in McCutcheon. The Charger’s showed that the offensive show from 2008 is back as the Chargers were able to move the ball well against the McCutcheon defense. However, the Charger defense showed room for improvement as McCutcheon also was able to put the ball in the endzone several times in the scrimmage format.
Now that the scrimmage is complete, the Chargers can look ahead to next week’s regular season opener. North Montgomery will travel to Benton Central on 8/21 for a 7:00pm kickoff of the 2009 season.

Tomorrow I will be traveling to the football fanatic land known as Sheridan to cover the Crawfordsville Athenian football team as they scrimmage the Blackhawks and their legendary coach Bud Wright.
