The Lady Mounties lost a tough match at home Monday night 3-2 in a back and forth match against the Tri-West Bruins.
Southmont took a 1-0 lead into the half on a goal by Shelby Phillips. Two second half goals by Tri-West gave them a 2-1 lead. Stephanie Martin responded for the Lady Mounties when her goal evened the match 2-2 but the Lady Bruins had the last word when Kely Buss found the back of the net to seal the 3-2 win.
Southmont moves to 3-3-1 on the season and 2-2 in the conference and will host Lebanon on Thursday in another critical conference matchup.
