The Lady Chargers dropped a tough matchup with the West Lafayette Lady Red Devils 60-57. North Montgomery seemed to have the game under control, leading by 7 with three minutes remaining, but when Kelsi Byrd then Sami Jo Byrd fouled out, West Lafayette was able to regain the momentum and take the victory.
Pressure defense and solid free throw shooting proved to be the key for the Lady Red Devils. Seeing them this past Saturday against Crawfordsville, these are two things that make them a tough matchup for anyone they play.
North Montgomery will try and regroup as they prepare for their big matchup with county and conference rival Crawfordsville on Friday night.
In the JV game, the Lady Chargers were able to sneak past the Lady Red Devils when Kiersten Hayes hit a clutch free throw with less than :10 remaining to give North Montgomery a 24-23 victory.
